RT. Rev. Bishop Graham Rose

Diocese of Dundee

Bishop Thomas Graham Rose was born in 1951 in Gauteng South Africa, and completed high school at Christian Brothers' College, Kimberly. His tertiary education qualifications include BComm and LLB degrees from Wits University, a BST degree from Urbanum University, Rome and a DDiv degree which he was awarded by the Pontifical University of Maynooth in Ireland. 

He was ordained in 1980 and served as Priest-in-Charge at parishes in Soweto, Katlehong and Magaliesberg. He served as rector of St John Vianney Seminary and was Priest-in-Charge at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Rivonia with brief stints in Leondale, Benoni Actionville and Cosmo City, until he was appointed Bishop of the Diocese of Dundee in 2008.
Other appointments include

  • Serving on a number of committees during his 28 years as a Priest in the Archdiocese of Johannesburg.
  • Chairman of the Board of Directors of St Augustine College.(Catholic University, Johannesburg)
  • Chairman of the Little Eden Foundation. 

In 2019 he was appointed second Vice-President of the Southern African Catholic Bishops Conference (SACBC)

Jacobus de Bruyn

Based in Mpumalanga

A Former protestant minister in the Reformed tradition. Jacobus loves Liturgy and especially the ancient teachings of Theosis.  He holds a PhD in Old Testament Theology and a masters in Greek.  

Fr Douglas Robertson

Based in Mpumalanga

Fr Douglas is a cradle Catholic.  He was a religious brother of Charity for 45 years and was ordained as a Catholic Priest in August 2024. He is a Maths and Science teacher, presently part-time teaching at Ligbron High School. He has a BSc, a BEd (honors) and a Diploma in Spiritual Theology. He loves his Priesthood and the Eucharist and is passionate about Spirituality.

Carmel Pillay

Based in KZN

A Cradle Catholic called to be a Catechist.  Carmel has been teaching catechism since 2010, and is preparing teens for Confrimation and recently has taken on RCIA candidates. One of her greatest loves about the Catholic Church is the infinite knowledge available to help us grow in the Faith. She is an avid reader and keeps up to date with all things Catholic.

Christopher Gautschi

Based in Western Cape

Christopher, a Lawyer in the Western Cape was baptised as a baby in the Dutch Reformed Church, grew into a virulent Atheist in his teens. Confirmed into the Catholic Church in 2025. He now has a strong zeal for converts and helps those seeking a spiritual home to return to the Catholic Church.

Kathleen de Bruyn

Based in Mpumalanga

Grew up as a Protestant in the Dutch Reformed Church.  Having found the foundation she has always been looking for in the Catholic Church. She is now a confirmed Catholic since 2022 and teaches Catechism. Her greatest love in the Catholic Church is the Eucharist and the Saints. 

Werner Lottering

Based in Gauteng

Werner, a Project Consultant in Johannesburg, is a former Protestant who found solace in the Catholic Church established by Christ in His time on earth. He is passionate about Church History, Historical Theology, Philosophy, and above all, the Holy Eucharist and its deep meanings

Sandra Lorenzo

Based in Limpopo

Born into a fiercely Dutch Reformed family. After being introduced to Catholicism and discovering the differences between a Catholic and a Protestant Bible, her journey to becoming a Roman Catholic started.
She converted to the Faith (2013) and remain steadfast in her belief. She lives out her passion by working for a Pastoral Centre and are involved in developing and teaching Bible Study programs.

Jaques en Ahriatha Durand

Based in Gauteng

We grew up in radical currents within Reformed churches, but came home to the Catholic church in 2021 with a search for something more than the local humanity of the church. We strive for a love of God and our fellow man, together with the Church of all times.

Petra Maass

Based in Bloemfontein

Petra, a professor of forensic anthropology in Bloemfontein, was led to the Catholic Church through her thirst for knowledge. Being recently confirmed, she loves to share the weird and wonderful things she discovers about church history and the saints, and enjoys debating the practicalities of living in Tradition and tradition in these interesting modern times.

Dr Kiewiet Vlok

Based in North-West

A Retired Orthopedic Surgeon of 30 years and an active Deacon in the Catholic Church, based in Klerksdorp. He have many interests including psychiatry, Karl Jung, what is consciousness and what is reality. This led him to the basis of it all and he found the Catholic Church in 2009. The Eucharist is what keeps him Catholic.
